About us and the role
We are looking to appoint a Learning Coach to join Krishna Avanti Primary School and support children in their learning and development.
Working alongside teachers and school leaders, you will provide flexible individual, small-group and whole-class support, helping children to engage confidently with their learning, develop their skills and build their independence.
You will build strong, positive relationships with children, recognising their individual strengths, needs and personalities, and responding thoughtfully to help them overcome barriers to learning and thrive in the classroom. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive, nurturing and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to succeed.

What will you do?
- Provide individual, small-group and whole-class learning support, helping children to access the curriculum and make positive progress.
- Build positive, supportive relationships with children, recognising their individual strengths, needs and personalities and promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Work closely with teachers, inclusion staff and external professionals to adapt learning and provide appropriate support, including for children with SEND and those for whom English is an additional language.
- Contribute to an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, sharing observations and feedback with teachers and responding flexibly to the changing needs of children throughout the school day.
- Promote safeguarding, inclusion and the values of The Avanti Way, while actively contributing to the wider life of the school and your own professional development.
What are we looking for?
- Evidence of strong communication skills; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Excellent level of literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work with teachers to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on children’s progress
- An understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students

Krishna Avanti Primary School is a Hindu-faith Free School for boys and girls that opened in September 2011. We are at full capacity with 420 pupils.
The school is set in 5 acres of land, on Spencefield Lane in Leicester, in Evington Hall. The Grade 2 listed building was built for the High Sheriff of Leicester and was also once a Catholic Convent. The main house has great character with beautiful features including an extraordinary library area. It is set in tranquil grounds making this a wonderful site for an excellent learning environment for all children of any faith and background and providing a spacious learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
