Learning Mentor job summary
1 - Support Students to Achieve Their Best
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting students across the school. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to help remove barriers to learning, promote positive engagement and support students to make progress academically, socially and emotionally.
2 - Help Young People Grow in Confidence
Working alongside teachers and other colleagues, you will provide targeted support both in and beyond the classroom, helping students develop the skills, resilience and confidence they need to thrive throughout their secondary education.
3 - Make a Difference Every School Day

The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join our committed SEN Department. The successful candidate will motivate, challenge, support and inspire our students.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

- Outstanding organisational skills to ensure efficient and effective implementation of the role

Our latest Progress 8 score is likely to be north of 0.62 which would put us in the top 10% of schools nationally. We are committed to raising this still further in coming years. The new Geography Teacher will be integral to this success.
Our lasted Ofsted (July 2023) described the school as ‘calm and orderly’ and visitors often remark on how Broadwater looks and feels like a ‘happy’ school. Our school principles of ‘Work Hard; Be Kind; Make a Difference’ are central to all that we do.
