Learning Mentor job summary

Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers, discover their strengths and achieve their full potential?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and committed Learning Mentor to join our dedicated pastoral team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on building positive relationships with young people and wants to make a genuine, lasting difference to their educational journey and wellbeing.

As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students who may face barriers to learning or require additional encouragement and guidance. You will work alongside colleagues, students and families to provide targeted pastoral and learning support, helping young people to develop confidence, resilience, independence and a positive attitude towards their education.

You will be someone who:

• Builds strong, trusting and respectful relationships with young people.
• Has high expectations and believes that every student can succeed.
• Is patient, approachable, resilient and able to inspire confidence.
• Can identify barriers to learning and provide practical, personalised support.
• Is committed to promoting positive behaviour, attendance, engagement and achievement.
