Learning Mentor/Thrive Practitioner job summary

Contract Details: Part time, hours to be negotiated, 39 weeks per year

The Beeches Primary requires an experienced Learning Mentor/ Thrive Practitioner to join our successful school. This is a great opportunity for you to work more closely with our team of dedicated staff, wonderful children and wider community.

You will:

• Be passionate about removing barriers for learning

• Provide educational support for pupils with social, communication, emotional and behavioural difficulties

• Provide classroom support throughout the school with an understanding and commitment to inclusion

• Commit to raising the achievement of all children

• Be a good communicator with the ability to work effectively with other agencies and families

• Be enthusiastic, empathetic, patient and non-judgmental

• Be passionate about the benefits of the Thrive approach and be a licensed Thrive Practitioner (or be willing and committed to undertake training)

• Have experience in assessment, action planning, support and monitoring of Thrive assessments

You will be expected to have experience and a professional approach to working with children and families. A good sense of humour and a commitment to life-long learning are essential.
