You will:

  • Have a passion for supporting pupils
  • Be resilient, caring and compassionate, treating children and colleagues with respect as individuals, whilst working in an environment which can be physically and emotionally demanding
  • Be an excellent organiser and communicator with a proactive and friendly attitude
  • Have a commitment to on-going personal and professional development, including (as appropriate) Advanced Safeguarding training and Trauma Informed training
  • Value diversity, equity and inclusion and have high expectations for every child and family; providing pastoral support and close liaison with families and other agencies
  • Be innovative and creative with a flexible, solution-focussed approach
  • Be an effective team player and contribute to the whole school community

What the school offers its staff

Tinsley Meadows Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Learning Mentor who can work confidently and passionately with our children and families. As part of the role, you will work closely with pupils to provide support and guidance while removing barriers to learning in order to support pupils to succeed.
