Learning Mentor job summary
We
currently have an opportunity for an inspirational and highly motivated Learning
Mentor to join our hardworking and committed pastoral team.
We are looking for a caring, resilient and creative
Learning Mentor, to join our fantastic pastoral team. The successful candidate
will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of children in our
school. They will have high expectations of behaviour and learning and understand
the importance of using a nurturing and restorative approach to ensure that
every child reaches their full potential.
The successful candidate will be support work across the school in a
variety of ways including but not limited to:
- Developing and delivering 1:1 and small group mentoring support and
intervention programmes - Supporting children and young people to develop and use self-regulation
strategies - Individual learning support within the classroom environment
- Family liaison, encouraging parental involvement
- Supporting and enhancing play of children during break times and
lunchtimes - Working collaboratively with external agencies
- Working alongside colleagues to manage and support attendance
- Providing after school club provision

This post is exempt from the
