What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and creative Learning Mentor. This is an excellent opportunity for a solution-focused, flexible and empathetic individual to join an innovative and successful academy.
The role will include supporting individual pupils as well as organising and running group activities and helping our Heads of Year ensure the emotional wellbeing of our pupils. We strive to create an atmosphere in which our pupils feel safe and relaxed and able to thrive - you will be at the centre of making this happen.
What the school offers its staff
Belvedere was the first independent school to become an academy and is continuing the traditions and standards of its predecessor school. We have high expectations of all our students and we support them with excellent pastoral care. Our staff believe in and uphold a relational approach to our children and we work together to create a safe space where all students can thrive. Our approach was validated by OFSTED in February 2025 where we were graded as Outstanding for both Behaviour and attitudes and Personal Development.
The Belvedere Academy and the GDST are committed to diversity, inclusion and real change: a family where every individual is valued, respected and included.
The Belvedere Academy and the GDST are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection checks appropriate to the post, including online searches, and checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
