We are seeking a highly organised, approachable and detail-focused Learning Support Administrator to provide high-quality administrative, organisational and operational support to the Learning Support Department, while contributing directly to the day-to-day support of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role is central to the effective coordination of SEN provision and involves maintaining accurate and confidential records, coordinating staff and external professional activity, supporting examination access arrangements, and organising Annual Reviews and referrals.

The role is also student-facing. The successful candidate will act as a familiar and trusted point of contact for students who come to the Learning Support Department, including students who may be dysregulated, distressed or unwell. A calm, consistent and reassuring approach will be essential, alongside the ability to follow agreed individual strategies and support students to settle and, where appropriate, return to learning.

The successful candidate will need excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication skills, together with warmth, patience and emotional resilience. You will be expected to manage competing priorities in a busy school environment and use initiative while recognising when matters need to be escalated. The postholder will also support the day-to-day operation of the department in the absence of the SENCO and Assistant SENCO.
