Learning Support Assistant job summary

Temple Mill Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Learning Support Assistant to join Key Stage 2, to start from November 2025.

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive team, providing exceptional support to pupils in Key Stage 2, across Years 3-6. The successful candidate will work closely with Classroom Teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment. They will also assist in implementing learning plans and promoting pupils’ academic and personal development.

This is a full time, fixed term role, Term Time Only, paid on the NJC pay scale D2 point 4-11 (FTE £25,185 - £28,142 - actual salary calculated on a pro rata basis which equates to £18,497 - £20,669 per annum).

The working pattern will consist of 32.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid break each day.

This role is fixed term for the remainder of the academic year, and will cease on 17th July 2026.
