LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT, Term time only plus one week of INSET days. Part-time, 3 days per week, Thursday, Friday plus one day. We are seeking to appoint a committed and experienced Learning Support Assistant who will provide support for our students, teachers and the school.

We are seeking to appoint a committed and experienced Learning Support Assistant who will provide support for our students, teachers and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all students (e.g. SEND, EAL, all underachieving groups) by utilising specific knowledge and skills and to encourage students to become independent learners, to provide support for their welfare, and to support the inclusion of students in all aspects of school life.

The successful candidates will have:

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Understanding of child development and how children learn
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Flexibility, initiative and common sense
  • The ability to approach all tasks with patience and good humour
  • Reliability and a commitment to work hard in the best interests of our students

Katherine Warington School is a new comprehensive, co‐educational and non‐denominational academic secondary school (opened September 19) with 750 students currently (180 in each of years 7, 8, 9 and 10 – these year groups are already oversubscribed). The school will add a
