The Priory Learning Trust (Somerset Business Award winner for Employer of the Year) is looking to recruit an experienced and skilled Learning Support Assistant to work at our West Huntspill Primary School Academy.

This position is a 5 days a week, non-teaching role focused on supporting pupils with SEN requirements in the classroom. This will involve building strong supportive relationships with the pupil, working closely with the class teacher, assisting in planning and adapting learning activities.

We are a small, friendly village school dedicated to improving outcomes for all children and providing first-class pastoral and educational support for all, including those that find traditional teaching environments more challenging. We are looking for an experienced, empathetic, compassionate and motivated member of staff who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and equal opportunities for all.

As part of this role, you will;

  • Support children in their personal development and progress through school by providing encouragement, rewards, advice and guidance, induction.
  • Help develop positive learning behaviours, working collaboratively with the class teacher.
  • Support children to be successful in our school and beyond.
