Learning Support Assistant job summary

Learning Support Assistant, Term Time plus 3 days, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Grace College have an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our student support team.

The role of the Learning Support Assistant is to work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for students and to assist the teacher in the management of students and the classroom. We are looking for learning support staff who are passionate about supporting students, understand how to work with them to remove their barriers to learning and care deeply about seeing every student achieve their academic personal best.

The post holder will be expected to act with honesty and integrity and uphold the Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants in order to make the education of pupils their first concern. The Teaching Assistant will demonstrate values and behaviours consistent with their professional role.

We have high expectations for our students as they grow and develop and all our staff provide important role models to them in terms of positive attitude, work ethic and diligence.
