Pay scale
- TA1 (Pts 2-4) £24,796 to £25,185 per annum pro rata
What skills and experience we're looking for
The Chase is looking to appoint two motivated and supportive Learning Support Assistants (also known as Teaching Assistant - Level 1), to work with students across Key Stages 3 & 4. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them to achieve their full potential. One position will be full time and the other position will be part time for 3 days a week (depending on the successful candidate's availability and school needs).
Key responsibilities:
- Support teaching staff in delivering lessons and learning activities in the classroom;
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning, particularly in core subjects;
- Assist with classroom organisation and resources;
- Provide support for students with additional needs, including SEND;
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement across the school.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A caring, patient and positive attitude;
- Strong communication and teamwork skills;
- An understanding of the challenges faced by secondary-aged students;
- A willingness to learn and follow instructions;
- Experience working in a school environment or with young people (desirable but not essential).
