At West SILC's Farnley Partnership, we support children and young people with Complex and Multiple Learning Needs (CMLN) through our highly personalised Engage Pathway.

Our learners communicate, learn and experience the world in many different ways. We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistants who want to help learners build relationships, communicate, explore their environment and achieve their full potential.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside specialist teachers, therapists and experienced practitioners in a setting where every achievement is celebrated and every interaction matters.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

✅ Support learners with communication, interaction and engagement

✅ Help deliver meaningful learning experiences both in school and within the community

✅ Support learners with physical, sensory and personal care needs

✅ Assist with moving and handling, positioning and mobility needs (full training provided)

✅ Use communication approaches such as Intensive Interaction, eye gaze technology, AAC and sensory-based learning

✅ Work alongside teachers, therapists, nurses and families to support individual learner outcomes

✅ Help learners develop confidence, independence and wellbeing

Previous experience is welcome but not essential. Full training and support will be provided.
