Castle EAST School are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a unique and extremely exciting opportunity to be a part of a truly outstanding provision where pupils with specific needs genuinely excel. As a specialist provision we are looking for staff who are committed to meeting the complex and holistic needs of young people with C&I needs so that they can reach their full academic and personal potential at Castle EAST.
The successful individual will not necessarily have experience of working in a provision for pupils with special needs; irrespective of your experience, training will be fully provided and form part of the school induction process for all staff. Castle EAST School is looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner with a passion for supporting pupils to achieve their best, both in and out of the classroom.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check before securing their employment at Castle EAST School.
This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post. Guidance about whether a conviction or caution should be disclosed can be found on the Ministry of Justice website.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
