Learning Support Assistant - Early Years job summary

Fixed term to August 2026. Term-Time + Training Days. Part Time 32.5 hours per week.

Monday - Friday. 8.30am-3.30pm

We are looking for a calm, consistent and compassionate Learning Support Assistant - Early Years to join our friendly team!

In this role, you will support pupils within Early Years, working flexibly to meet their individual needs and helping to create a positive, engaging environment where all children can thrive.

About You

To be a good fit for this role, you:

  • Will be confident supporting individual children and small groups within the EYFS, adapting activities to suit each child’s stage of development, interests and learning style in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Will be able to work effectively under the direction of the class teacher, helping to create a stimulating, well‑organised and nurturing EYFS environment where children feel safe, engaged and ready to learn.
  • Will be committed to promoting inclusion and early development, ensuring every child is supported to explore, play and make progress regardless of background, ability or prior experience.
  • Will be flexible, reflective and eager to develop, contributing positively to the EYFS team and adapting to the changing needs, routines and rhythms of early years practice.
