• Working pattern: Full time: SEN/D Teaching Assistant, full time: 28 hours and 45 minutes per week (8:45am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday) Plus 2.5 hours (30 minutes daily Monday - Friday) p/w as Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant There is also the opportunity to extend the role to include Breakfast Club Assistant: 7 hours and 30 minutes per week (Monday - Friday 7:15am – 8:45am).
• Contract type: Fixed term - 31st December 2026
• Pay scale: B1- Scale point 4-6 (Teaching Assistant) A1- Scale Point 2 (Lunchtime supervisory assistant)

What skills and experience we're looking for

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, caring and committed SEN/D Assistant, join our dedicated and hardworking team. Applicants should have good English and Maths skills, be effective communicators and have excellent organisational skills. Experience of supporting young children with SEN/D is preferred.

The successful candidate will create and maintain effective partnerships with parents, carers and the wider community to support and improve pupils’ achievement and personal development. Pool CE Primary School is committed to the professional development of all staff.
