Learning Support Assistant - fixed term 12 months (minimum 20hrs per week) job summary

We are seeking to appoint, as early in the new academic year as possible, TWO highly motivated Individual Needs Assistants. These roles will be fixed term positions for twelve months as they are funding-dependent. They will involve supporting the learning and development of small groups and individual pupils.  We can offer you a friendly, supportive school with great opportunities for professional development.

The successful candidates will:

  • have an enthusiasm for working with primary aged children
  • have good literacy and mathematical skills
  • be hard working, resilient and adaptable to change
  • have an understanding and knowledge of supporting children’s learning
  • an understanding of EYFS development is desirable

Contract: Fixed term – until 22nd July 2027

Hours:  A minimum of 20 hours per week, term time only, with exact working days/times to be agreed on appointment.  

Salary Scale: Ark Support (outside London) Point 3; Full time salary £24,795 per annum.

Actual pro-rata salary to be £13.21 per hour (gross).
