Learning Support Assistant job summary
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Forge Wood Primary on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils, supporting their learning and development in a nurturing and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will support the class teacher in accessing an engaging curriculum. They will be prepared to work hard and respond positively to the challenges of day to day school life and be a strong team player.
What we are looking for
The successful candidate should:
- Be dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated
- Be able to develop positive relationships with young children
- Be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour
- Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team
- Be a confident and clear communicator with parents
- Have GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above

Salary: GLF Associate 2 Point 1 - £23,651
Actual Salary: £18,933.84
Hours: 33.5hrs a week (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 08.30 – 15.30 & Wed 08.30 – 16.30) - term time only
