Full Time Equivalent: LSA: £24,796 - £25,583 HLTA: £25,989 - £28,142

Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week (term time plus non-pupil days - 39 working weeks)

We are looking to recruit an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to help our lovely children at Waterman Primary School achieve their full potential.

Our new colleague will provide support to class teachers, sharing a passion for teaching and a commitment to the needs of the pupils.

Academies within the Trust have a highly inclusive ethos and provide a broad and enriched education for their pupils. We have highly skilled staff who prioritise the support of their colleagues as well as having very high aspirations for their pupils.   Each of our colleagues make a difference to our children and as such all play a pivotal role in ensuring our standards are met. 

The successful candidate must:

  • be educated to NVQ level 2 or 3 in learning/support/early years, NNEB or equivalent qualification/experience
  • have a minimum qualification of English and Maths at GCSE level C or above (or equivalent)
  • have experience of working with children, ideally in a school setting
  • put the needs of our children at the forefront of all you do
  • demonstrate patience, calmness and flexibility at all times
  • have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to children, parents and other adults
  • have a passion for developing individual learning and encouraging pupils to achieve their best
  • be a team player
  • have some knowledge of strategies to support behaviour

All staff employed as HLTA will be expected to have or gain a formal HLTA qualification within 18 months of successfully completing their probation period
