Learning Support Assistant job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated team supporting young people to achieve their full potential. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working collaboratively and who can build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play an important role in helping students to access learning, develop confidence and thrive both academically and personally. Working closely with teaching staff and the SEND team, you will provide tailored support to students both in and out of the classroom, helping to create an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can succeed.
The successful candidates will be patient, adaptable and committed to making a genuine difference to the daily experience of young people. This role would suit someone with experience of working with children or young people, although training and support will be provided for the right candidates.
This is a term-time only position. Full time hours are Monday - Friday 08.45-15.40, and 20 Saturday mornings a year 08.45-12.20. Saturdays are paid at time and a half. Part time working will be considered, but applicants must be available to work term time Saturday mornings.
