Learning Support Assistant - Level 2 job summary
Learning Support Assistant - Level 2
Permanent position starting as soon as possible.
32.5 hours a week, 39 weeks a year (term time plus INSET days).
MKET Pay Scale 2 ranging from point 2.4 (£22,981 FTE) to point 2.9 (£25,173 FTE) dependent on experience.
Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
Heronsgate is a large Key Stage 2 junior school on the eastern flank of Milton Keynes and is one of the academies within the Milton Keynes Education Trust (MKET). We require an additional teaching assistant to join us to work alongside our existing team.
In particular we are looking for a person with:
- · a genuine love of children
- · the desire to help children achieve their full potential
- · the ability to work closely with children with additional needs on a 1:1 or small group basis to remove barriers to learning and help them progress in their learning
Duties may include:
- · leading intervention groups for phonics, reading, maths, English, speech & language and guided reading
- · playground duty
- - lunchtime duty
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children in a school setting.
