What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for individuals to join our fantastic, resilient team who are dedicated, reliable, committed and enthusiastic about every young person they meet, and who is keen to develop through forming strong relationships with students and colleagues alike.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good, focused, steady classroom practice whilst being actively committed to building upon the young people’s strengths, taking the best advice on working with them, with their potential for success always at the forefront of their minds. We seek an individual keen to develop relationships with our children whilst motivating them to reach their full potential. We would also love to meet people who would be happy to support our students with physical disabilities with their independence, their day to day support and personal care.

What the school offers its staff

You will be warmly welcomed into the Noadswood family as a whole and given access to our induction programme and training opportunities as an individual and as part of the team. Maybe you’d like to develop your passion for a particular subject, or you’d like to upskill yourself in a subject you, yourself, struggled with at school? Maybe you’re keen to know more about supporting students’ emotional needs, or neurodivergence of various sorts? Perhaps it’s a commitment to the independence and success of those with physical disabilities that you’d enjoy knowing more about? We can provide experience and professional training on all fronts across our inclusive environment, that is always keen to learn more and improve further.

Further information about the job

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
Visas cannot be sponsored.
If you're interested in teaching or training to teach in England as an international citizen, we can help you understand your next steps.

Commitment to safeguarding

Noadswood School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. What makes Noadswood terrific? Is it:
• Quality specialist teachers across a rich and varied curriculum, and a super record in academic outcomes, Dance, Performing Arts, Poetry and Sport?
• Our pastoral system, combining a proud culture of a House system overarching our year groups, giving young people membership of smaller communities within the school?
• Our drive for the best possible progress for all through research based teaching and learning?
• The way we listen to our students' and colleagues’ ideas for their wellbeing and their community, and bring them all to life?
• The care we have for our parent community, and their suggestions, views and concerns?
It's because of ALL of the above but overarching all of this, it's because we are a warm, welcoming school. We are passionate about educational excellence and to sustaining an honest, kind, inclusive community - we are strongly united on our very best days, at challenging times and at all points in between.
