Learning Support Assistant (LSA) job summary
At Measham Church of England Primary School, we believe every child deserves to feel valued, supported and inspired to succeed. Guided by our Christian vision, "Love your neighbour as yourself", we are proud to be a caring and inclusive school where relationships matter, and every child is encouraged to flourish.
We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Learning Support Assistant to join our warm and welcoming team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and who understands the difference that encouragement, patience and positive relationships can make to a child's educational journey.
Working closely with teachers and other members of staff, you will support children across the classroom, in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, helping them to engage in learning, build confidence and achieve their individual goals. You will play an important role in supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development, ensuring they feel safe, happy and ready to learn.
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who have knowledge or experience of supporting children with speech and language needs. The ability to help children develop their communication skills, language understanding and confidence in expressing themselves would be a real asset and would enable you to make a significant impact on the lives of some of our pupils.
At Measham, you will become part of a supportive school family where colleagues work together, celebrate successes and share a commitment to providing the very best opportunities for every child. Our children are enthusiastic, our families are supportive and our staff are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone can flourish.
If you are a caring team player with a genuine passion for supporting children and helping them reach their full potential, we would love to hear from you. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and provide a great opportunity to experience first-hand the friendly and nurturing atmosphere that makes Measham such a special place to work.
