Learning Support Assistant job summary

At Ludlow Junior School, we work hard to make sure that we are meeting the needs of all of our pupils, inside and outside of the classroom, whatever their background, ability or interests. Therefore, we are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who is enthusiastic, dynamic and energetic. You will work closely with a class teacher within a supportive team to develop learning for all children- in our LSAs work with all of the children, not only those with identified special educational needs. Our current vacant roles may require a high level of 1-2-1 teaching and support for specific pupils with their academic progress, communication, and social emotional behaviour difficulties. Some children will have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). Additionally, you will be teaching and supporting flexibly within a class environment. Additionally, you might work with small groups or individuals outside the classroom and sometimes support in the playground environment.
