Your opportunity

We are looking to appoint a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our hardworking and dedicated staff team. This role is central to supporting a child on an individual basis, including those with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Class Teacher to provide tailored support that promotes the child’s learning, wellbeing, and independence. Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable, particularly in a 1:1 or SEND support role.

  • be able to develop positive relationships with young children
  • be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour.
  • be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team, including working closely with outside agencies
  • relate exceptionally well with children and to go that extra mile to help them achieve
  • be a confident and clear communicator with parents
  • Hold a HLTA qualification - desirable but not essential

The Details

Start Date: TBC

Salary: Associate 2.2 - £23,707 FTE

Pro Rata Salary: £8,497.91

Hours of Work: 15 hours a week Monday to Friday 12:15 - 3:15pm (Term-time - 39 weeks inc. INSET)

Contract: Temporary (Maternity Cover)

Closing Date: Friday 27th February at 9.30am

Interview Date: TBC
