Learning Support Assistant - Resourced Provision job summary
We wish to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) on a fixed-term contract (to 31st August 2022 initially) to work within the school’s Resourced Provision. The role would require the successful candidate to support pupils who are on the autistic spectrum. The person appointed will help teaching staff in the education, care and welfare of students placed in the Resourced Provision, both in the Resource base and in the rest of the school.
Good levels of numeracy and literacy (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT skills are required. Previous experience of working with young people is desirable. Experience with autistic children would be an advantage. A team player with patience, understanding and a willingness to develop is needed.
This is a fixed-term, term time position, working Monday to Friday (34.17 hours per week) 8:15am to 3:15pm Monday to Thursday and 8:15am to 2:25pm Friday.
