Learning Support Assistant (Special School) job summary
Have you ever considered supporting the Teaching and Learning of children and young people who have Special Needs?
We are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to join our hardworking and friendly team, working to support our special needs children Age 3-19 years covering a whole range of complex needs including ASD, SLD, PMLD and challenging behaviour.
Working hours
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 8.50 am - 3.20 pm Tuesday 8.50 am -4.20 pm (team meeting 3.20 pm -4.20 pm) every other Tuesday Friday 8.50 am – 1.10 pm
Training every Monday and Thursday 3.20 pm- 4.20 pm - during your training period
Monday - Friday term time only plus all inset days
Essex Pay Structure
Scale 3, point 5 (Pro Rata)
Depending on experience
Salary £15,698.24 plus Inner Fringe £641.48 (Total £16,339.72 Actual after pro rata)
Experience not needed in house training provided.
The successful candidate will need to:
hold a relevant qualification at NVQ Level 2 or above
Have some experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs
Have a caring nature
Be able to communicate effectively with children and adults
Be able to work as part of a team
