Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Spring Meadow Primary School
Hours: 8.50am to 3.20pm, Term Time Only (part-time may be considered)

We are looking for passionate, resilient and inclusive Learning Support Assistants to join our team. The successful candidates will have the ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and help to create an engaging learning environment that supports both academic progress and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-class support for pupils, including those with SEND
- Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Assist with the planning and adaptation of learning activities
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Work collaboratively with teachers, Senior Leadership, SENCo and external professionals
- Help create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils with personal care where required
- Help create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Promote pupils’ emotional wellbeing and inclusion across the school day
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Is patient, caring and able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Has a good understanding of inclusive practice and strategies to support learning
- Is able to adapt support to meet a range of needs, including communication and behaviour
- Has strong teamwork and communication skills
- Is proactive, flexible and willing to learn
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Has some experience of working with children with SEND (desirable)
