What skills and experience we're looking for
- Qualified teacher status
- Degree
- Successful, evidenced primary teaching experience
- Relevant professional qualifications (Specialist teacher qualifications etc.)
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies
- A good understanding of how children learn
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet pupils’ needs
- Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils
- Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children
- Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies
- Good ICT skills, particularly using ICT to support learning
- Ability to lead subjects
What the school offers its staff
Elmsett C of E Primary is a small, rural church school in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, not far from Hadleigh. We are part of the Diocesan MAT and currently have 40 children on roll in 3 classes. We encourage the development of the whole child with many extra-curricular activities. Elmsett school have an excellent PTA and supportive governors. We are a 'Good' school (Ofsted, September 2024) and have a 'Good' SIAMS rating (February 18).
