What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work with our wonderful students as part of our SEN team. Within our SEN team colleagues aim to meet the needs of students through a combinationof in class support, 1:1 support for students, small group support and provision that takes place both inside and outside the classrooms. We are fortunate to have an excellent team in place with a range of specialisms and wherever possible we aim to use the skills and expertise of the individual staff members to enhance student provision. For example colleagues with a strong background in particular subject areas may offer more support in those subject lessons and colleagues with experience with specific learning needs may work with individuals or groups to support those specific needs more broadly. We are therefore looking for a colleague who either has experience of work within an SEND team, or one who is keen to develop from their experiences in other areas and looking to train into the role.

What the school offers its staff

St Benedict's is, we believe a wonderful place to work. We are a community of 980 students and over 120 staff. We believe that we model the aspiration to achieve God-given potential through our own practice and experiences. We live this through seeking opportunities for our own development and by supporting one another. As a Catholic school we welcome applications from Catholics, those of other faiths and those without faith but who are supportive of the ethos and values of our school community. As part of Our Lady of Walsingham Trust, there is an Employee Assistance Programme.
