What skills and experience we're looking for
St Jude’s is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team, in a warm, friendly and inclusive school.
You will be committed to the care of our children. Do you have a passion for helping individuals thrive? Are you keen to make a positive difference to the lives of young people? Are you looking for a new post? Whether you have some classroom experience supporting individuals or in groups and are looking for something new, we want to hear from you.
A knowledge of the primary day and some interventions would be helpful as would an interest in specific learning needs of children. Whilst desirable, these are not essential as we are willing to train the right candidates for the role. The successful candidate must be flexible, able to manage their time and workload, be highly professional and have a track record of excellent attendance and appropriate literacy skills. You will need to have grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English and a high standard of both written and spoken literacy.

JOB PURPOSE
To enable pupils’ access to learning by assisting pupils (one to one and in small groups) across a wide range of in class activities and supported learning interventions. To promote the development of the physical and mental well-being of pupils as directed by a teacher. Contribute to the effective organisation of the school with administrative and clerical support.
