Taverham is an excellent, 11-18 school with a caring, positive ethos. The school was substantially redeveloped in 2007 and we became an academy in April 2013 and joined Enrich Learning Trust in February 2024. In May 2023, the school was recognised as ‘good’ in all categories by Ofsted and over the last two Summers we have achieved our best ever results, with our attainment in English and Maths among the highest in the county.
We are looking to appoint a caring and resilient person who:
- is passionate about supporting students who experience a wide range of barriers to learning resulting from their special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities
-has experience of working with students with SEN and associated challenging behaviour
-has good numeracy, literacy and computer skills with high standards of professional conduct
- is motivated and able to work well in a team and independently.
The primary purpose of our LSA role is to provide support to students with SEN in the classroom so that they can access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of success and achievement; to work with colleagues to raise the learning and attainment of pupils while also promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
Enrich Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its pupils and expects all those working at the Trust to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.
