Learning Support Assistant job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team on a part time, permanent basis.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to play a key role in supporting children. Our school has a passion and understanding of what effective learning is and we help to inspire our pupils to be the best they can be. What we are looking for

• A Learning Support Assistant with experience in supporting children
• Able to develop an understanding of the educational, welfare and social needs of children
• Able to develop positive relationships with young children
• Able to stay calm and objective when presented with challenging behaviour
• Enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team
• Confident and clear communicator with parents
• Flexible with regard to classroom work

The Details

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: GLF Associate 2 Point 1 £23,914 to Point 16 £25,393

Actual Salary: £7,352.96 to £7,807.72

Hours: 13 hours per week (Mon & Tues 08:30-15:30  -Term time only - 38.6 weeks)

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: 15th July 2026 

Interview Date: TBC

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
