Learning Support Assistant job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who shares our schools’ ambition for excellence. This post is assigned to a pupil with SEND in Early Years. Experience in supporting pupils with social communication difficulties will be an advantage.

Theydon Bois Primary School is an extremely happy and positive school looking to appoint a highly effective, caring, enthusiastic colleague to join our skilled and committed team of Learning Support Assistants.

This is a fixed term, full time position, term time only, and the hours will be 8.40am to 15.20pm each day with 30 minutes for lunch.

  • demonstrate up to date and relevant knowledge of safeguarding procedures

  • show a commitment to meeting pupils’ needs

  • possess good communication skills

  • be able to work as part of a team

  • show initiative and be flexible

  • provide intimate care, as required

  • carry out lunchtime duties
