Join our growing Learning Support Team at Whytrig Middle School. Following recent internal promotions, Whytrig Middle School is expanding its team to ensure every student receives a great, inclusive education. We are seeking a dedicated Band 2 Learning Support Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Working under the guidance of the school SENCo, you will help students achieve their personal targets and access a high-quality, inclusive curriculum. As a relatively small school, we benefit from a strong sense of community where every student is known and valued. Our core expectations—be ready, be respectful, be safe—are embedded in everyday life, creating a calm and purposeful learning environment.

Ideally, you will hold 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C (or equivalent), including English and Maths. A Teaching Assistant or Special Educational Needs qualification is desirable. You should also be able to build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and other professionals.

The role will be working three days per week, 18.75 hours, term-time plus one training day at the start of the school year. Days to be confirmed.
