What skills and experience we're looking for

About this Role

This role will support the SENCO, Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Governors in implementing the School’s SEND Policy and SEND Information Report in line with the Code of

Practice for SEND.

In addition to this the role will:

  • Provide a first point of contact for parents, staff and outside agencies regarding our most vulnerable students, including those who are LAC.
  • Assist in the support and inclusion of students with SEN and additional needs to ensure they are given the necessary support to reach their full potential.
  • Plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate interventions for targeted SEN students.
  • Assist the SENCO in maintaining an accurate SEND register by monitoring and assessing individuals or groups of students with SEND.
  • Assist the SENCO in securing EHCPs for high need students.
  • Assist the SENCO in the management and deployment of teaching assistants.
