What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Officer (LSO) to support children with SEMH. LSO’s play a vital role in the success of the school, supporting teaching and learning and the development of skills to ensure progress for all.

The ideal candidate will be an effective team player who has a positive approach to engaging learners. LSO’s will be required to attend INSET days when they arise and to undertake the necessary training appropriate to the role which will include physical intervention training.

What the school offers its staff

This is an exciting time to join the school as we continue to develop the full curriculum and provision for our learners. We have recently been judged ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED (May 2022) and the successful candidate will have opportunity to help us to continue our journey and contribute to the Vision and Values of The Hub School as a member of the team.

Working at The Hub School comes with a number of benefits:

  • As an East Riding of Yorkshire Council employee, you have access to the local Government pension scheme (LGPS)
  • Staff well-being policies
  • East Riding leisure center membership for just £25 per person, per month
  • On-site free parking

Commitment to safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. East Riding of Yorkshire Council is pursuing equality of opportunity in employment. The school reserve the right to withdraw advertisements at any time.
