Learning Tutor

Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit part- time Learning Tutor based at Greentrees Primary School on a permanent contract.

Hours: 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 12.00noon plus 1.00pm to 3.00pm, 38 weeks per year, term time only, excluding TD days

Required to start: as soon as possible

Salary: Grade F11, £27,711 pro rata, per annum (actual salary £17,261 per annum).

Greentrees Primary School is a two site two form entry Primary School with a 12 place Resource Base. The school is situated on the outskirts of Salisbury. The school was judged as Outstanding in its last inspection in March 2015.

The school has strong international links and has an enquiry led skills based broad and balanced curriculum. The school prides itself on its behaviour. It is also committed to teaching children how they learn as well as the content of the curriculum. The school uses Guy Claxton’s 4 Rs of Learning and Carol Dweck’s Growth Mindset model to achieve this.

The tasks and responsibilities will include:

Covering classes across the school in both KS1 and KS2.

Communicating with teachers regarding planning and preparation of learning materials for the specified interest groups and providing feedback for lessons taught.

To communicate with teachers with regard to planning and preparation ahead of covering each Class

To maintain any pupil and school agreed records (which will include marking work at the end of each day).

Keep accurate registers of attendance when covering classes.

To participate in meetings which relate to the curriculum, administration, organisation and pastoral arrangements of the school (where appropriate).
