What skills and experience we're looking for
The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer in Health & Social Care to join our dynamic team at Havering Sixth Form. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support students across a range of programmes from entry level to Level 3.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, supporting student progression, and contributing to the continued development of our Health & Social Care curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging teaching and assess student progress across Health & Social Care
- Plan and develop high-quality lessons, learning materials, and curriculum content
- Support students academically and pastorally to achieve and progress
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners, ensuring quality standards and compliance
Who You Are:
- Has experience teaching or training in Health & Social Care
- Holds (or is willing to work towards) a recognised teaching qualification
- Has a relevant qualification in Health & Social Care (Biology knowledge desirable)
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and understanding of current practices
- Can engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills
- Works effectively as part of a team and independently
