What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified individual to join our team as a Hairdressing & Barbering Instructor. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering professional and technical qualifications toour students, across various pathways in hairdressing and barbering.
Responsibilities:
- Lead courses within the Hair and Beauty curriculum, ensuring the delivery of outstanding classes.
- Plan and execute engaging and informative lessons, incorporating practical sessions alongside relevant theoretical knowledge.
- Support and develop the professional and technical skills of each student, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum, staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
- Maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment, catering to the diverse needs of our students.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in the field of hairdressing and barbering, with up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and techniques.
- Vocational qualification in hairdressing and barbering, minimum Level 3.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays, accommodating the schedules of our learners.
- Passion for education and a commitment to empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
Applicants will preferably hold a teaching qualification and experience but alternatively be a highly skilled practitioner in their field and so bring a wealth of abilities and knowledge that would benefit our students at every educational level.
