We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, friendly, self-motivated and conscientious lettings & events caretakers to join our estates team at Sprowston Academy. Duties include carrying out basic maintenance, building repairs and keeping the school and grounds clean, safe and tidy. We welcome applicants with experience of working within a caretaker or maintenance role ideally within a school environment. It is essential that applicants have good administrative, communication and ICT skills along with a good understanding of legislation and regulatory compliance as it applies to school premises such as Health & Safety, swimming pool maintenance, COSHH, asbestos and legionella.


Applicants should possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills along with a flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team. Personal qualities are of paramount importance and the person appointed will be expected to be approachable, professional and reliable.


Sprowston Community Academy is a growing 11-18 school serving the Northeast of Norwich. The hours for this post are Saturday 8.00am to 5.30pm. Flexibility is essential to all roles to cover team absence.
