About the role
As a Lettings Assistant, you'll be the friendly face of The Swan School during evenings, weekends, and school holidays. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our sports hall, playing fields, MUGA pitches, assembly hall, and classrooms are perfectly set up for everything from bustling sports clubs to engaging holiday programs. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to be at the heart of our community, supporting diverse activities and ensuring everyone has a fantastic experience.
What You'll Be DoingCustomer Service Star: You'll be the primary point of contact for all our hirers, offering a warm welcome and excellent support throughout their bookings.
Keyholder & Onsite Presence: You'll be responsible for opening and closing the school, remaining on-site as the designated keyholder during bookings.
Setup & Support: Assisting customers with their individual requirements. Resetting School rooms ready for the next day, especially during busy exam periods.
Light Maintenance & Housekeeping: You'll help keep our spaces tidy, report maintenance issues and ensure everything is clean and operational.
Site Management: You'll oversee heating, lighting, and security systems, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.
Safety Champion: You'll conduct checks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promptly reporting any concerns.

Excellent Communicators: You'll be our eyes and ears on the ground, providing valuable feedback to the Lettings Manager.
Adaptable: Schools are unpredictable environments. When on site you may need to help out with other tasks such as receiving deliveries or other reasonable duties.
Flexible and Organised: Able to take a timely approach to work to ensure smooth event operations.
Willing: to provide feedback on what's working well and areas for improvement.
Able: to be the eyes and ears on the ground, with feedback acted upon.
This role would particularly suit students, those with caretaker or security experience, or anyone interested in running sports facilities.

About The Swan School
The Swan School opened in September 2019 as part of the River Learning Trust (RLT). When fully subscribed it will have approximately 1200 students on the roll, of whom around 300 will be in the Sixth Form. Learning from the most successful approaches at the best schools, The Swan School provides a uniquely challenging and structured experience in a caring and disciplined environment.
