Midday Supervisor - Meridian Trust Grade 3, Point 3 £2,902
Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 08:15-15:15, 38 weeks per year (term time only)
We are looking for a passionate, creative and dedicated Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor, who thrives on helping students realise their potential at Sawtry Junior School! As a Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of teaching staff to support pupils in the classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. As a Midday Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring that our pupils enjoy a safe, happy and positive lunchtime experience.
The Opportunity
- Supervise activities for small groups or 1:1, enabling all children to reach their potential.
- Encourage and promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students.
- Establish and maintain supportive relationships.
- Join a dedicated, enthusiastic team, within a supportive MAT.
The ideal candidate
- Holds a good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language.
- Understands how children learn.
- Is skilled at developing children’s self-esteem and motivation so that they become resilient, independent learners.
- Has excellent communication skills and is able to develop and sustain positive relationships with pupils.

We aim to provide engaging learning activities for our children in a stimulating and supportive environment. Although our purpose is to promote the development of academic and practical skills, we also seek to guide children in their social and moral development. Between the ages of 7 and 11 children quickly grow and develop in maturity. The environment we provide for the children promotes independence, self-motivation, and confidence. We aim to develop the numerous social skills that are necessary for children to become responsible members of society
