Level 2 Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint Four Level 2 Teaching assistants at Christ Church CofE Primary School. The start date for this role will be Tuesday 1st December 2026. This will be a permanent role, 25 hours a week, term time only.

This role is paid at Grade 3 SCP 4-5, Actual salary £15174.05 - £15762.38

The successful candidate must be passionate about working with young children.  We wish to appoint a teaching assistant who is conscientious and compassionate and has high expectations and aspirations for all pupils. We are looking for someone who: 

  • Has a good understanding of child development and pedagogy 

  • Has high expectations and aspirations for children in their care 

  • Is able to motivate and inspire pupils through both 1:1 and small group work 

  • Is enthusiastic, resourceful and committed to ensuring the highest possible standards of pupil achievement and personal development, supporting every child to flourish in all aspects of their life 

  • Has experience of the needs and support strategies required to engage and motivate children in their learning 

  • Is willing to contribute to the life of our school and our community 

  • Has a commitment to their own personal and professional development 

  • Is able to work effectively as part of a team
