Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant, Grade 6 job summary

St Mary's Church of England Primary school thrives at the centre of Banbury and serves a vibrant community. Our Nursery and Reception class - Fledglings - admits children from their 3rd birthday and provides a rich and exciting EYFS curriculum. We are now looking for a practitioner with a suitable L3 qualification ( or equivalent / better) to join our teacher led team and support the journey of our amazing children through their Early Years education.

Working term time only, 8.30 - 3.15 you will support the general calm organisation and focus of the class as well as support the teaching of early reading and maths and you will LOVE PLAYING- inside an out!

Our children have enquiring minds and lots of questions and you will be enthusiastic, engaging and fun as well as kind.

We have a large, well resourced classroom and huge outdoor learning space as well as a dedicated Forest School on site. All our children enjoy specialist music and sport provision as well as enjoying at least one Forest school session a week. The support team plan collaboratively and support the development of the continuous provision over time as well as contribute to the more focused learning times all the children enjoy.

We would love to hear from you if:

- You hold a Level 3 qualification, or suitable alternative

- You have a good standard of English and maths

- You are experienced in working in an Early Years setting, whether school or community based

-You are a team player, willing to work dynamically and positively to provide the best social and emotional environment for our children

-You use your initiative, managing and organising time effectively

This is a Grade 6 position, so there is an expectation you can model to and support other members of the team and take a lead role when required.

Ideally we are looking for someone to work the full 5 days, but part time options may be available for the right candidate. Please state your desired hours in your application if you would like this to be considered.
