What skills and experience we're looking for

About Our School

St Barnabas and St Philip’s Church of England Primary School is a popular one-form-entry primary school located in the heart of Kensington.

Since September 2022, the school has undergone a rapid transformation following it’s Ofsted Inspection in 2021. The school has a new leadership and new staff team who are committed to providing the best outcomes for the children we serve. We are looking for a teacher who wants to be part of our exciting journey, as part of a dynamic team.

Our Values

As a Church of England School, we share close links with our parish communities at St Barnabas and St Philip’s churches with a Christian ethos central to everything we do. Our core values of Friendship, Trust and Peace underpin school life with a view to ensuring we nurture the social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of pupils alongside providing a challenging and engaging curriculum.

Our Successful Candidate

We are looking to appoint a committed and creative practitioner who works well in a team and has high aspirations for all pupils. You may be new to or experienced in the role. We encourage you to come and visit us or speak with us.

What the school offers its staff

Our Offer

Although our school is in the heart of the capital, we are proud of our strong sense of community, which is reflected in the active role our parents/carers take in their children’s education and the wider life of our school. We can offer the successful candidate the chance to really make an impact on the future of our school and our pupils.

As a member of staff you will also benefit from:

  • Excellent professional development opportunities with a Senior Leadership team who are dedicated to your development.
  • Networking opportunities and partnership with other schools in the local authority and the LDBS.
  • Friendly and engaged children who are enthusiastic about learning.
  • A genuinely supportive staff team who work together.

Commitment to safeguarding

St Barnabas and St Philip's Primary School is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this. All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring service check along with other relevant employment checks.
