What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and committed candidate to join an enthusiastic, supportive and successful school as a Learning Mentor. The successful candidate

  • Will be working under the direction of the SENCO to deliver agreed work with individuals and groups, in and out of the classroom.
  • Will play a pivotal role in supporting students with a range of needs and challenges to enable them experience the broad and balanced curriculum, which is their right.

A key aspect of the role will involve working closely with students who require emotional support and nurturing relationships, empowering them to engage with their learning and develop the confidence, skills and independence needed in accessing the curriculum.

  • Successful candidate will be truly committed to supporting the students to make progress and achieve, with have high expectations and aspirations for student’s success.
  • They will actively contribute to ongoing planning with imaginative and dynamic ideas, playing a key role in the school’s journey towards outstanding.
  • All students and staff are provided with an electronic device to enhance learning and promote independence, supporting a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
