Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant/Wrap Around Care Assistant job summary

Hours - 37.75 Hours per week, term time only, with a 30 minute lunch break.

Monday - 8:30am - 4:15pm

Tuesday 8:30am - 3:15pm

Wednesday 8:30am - 6:00pm

Thursday 8:30am - 3:15pm

Friday 8:30am - 6:00pm

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Teacher and wider staff team to provide a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment. You will support high-quality teaching and learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring every child is supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and delivery of creative, engaging and developmentally appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.

  • Assist in observing, assessing and recording children’s progress.

  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, secure and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support children’s personal, social and emotional development.

  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers.

  • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain our Outstanding standards.

  • Contribute to the preparation of learning environments in line with the Curiosity Approach ethos.

Essential:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.

  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.

  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A genuine passion for working with young children.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within an Outstanding Early Years setting.

  • Knowledge or experience of the Curiosity Approach.

  • Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
