We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our dedicated school team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience working alongside experienced professionals while completing a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of teachers and senior staff to support pupils' learning, wellbeing and development. You will help create a positive learning environment, assist in classroom activities and support children both individually and in groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils to access learning activities and achieve their potential.
  • Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and independence.
  • Assisting teachers with planning, preparation and classroom organisation.
  • Supporting the use of ICT and learning resources.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
  • Contributing to the safeguarding and welfare of all children.

What We Are Looking For

We would like to hear from candidates who:

  • Have a Level 2 qualification or relevant experience in a childcare setting.
  • Have a genuine interest in working with children.
  • Are caring, patient and committed to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
  • Have good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Are enthusiastic, positive and willing to learn.
  • Have basic ICT skills and an understanding of child development.
  • Are committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Previous experience working with children or in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
